Detailed Specification
Short Tip: The detailing of the high-level technical specification for the Cycle Backlog items.
What is it?
It consists in detailing the high-level technical specification created during the maturing phase for the items in the Cycle Backlog.
Why use it?
The detailed specification is necessary for executing the subsequent building and testing phase. In addition, it allows, in predictive contexts, the refining of costs and deadlines without the risk of great requirement changes.
How to use it?
The detailed specification is carried out by the Development Team and is highly dependent on product type and industry.
In software, it involves, for example, Use Cases with the full definition of all alternative and exception scenarios. In engineering, it normally includes detailed blueprints, full material specification and the detailing of service execution.
